And Isn't It Ironic?

I've become one of the masses. Hurrying in and out of shopping malls. Pushing my way through lines, or actually, I've been the one pushed through the lines. It's the Christmas season. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we will all finally have the opportunity to watch our loved ones open the presents we so meticulously bought for them. The ironic part is that Christmas is a time of giving, and loving, and all that is wonderful and beautiful. And while Christmas can bring out the best in us, it also brings out the worst.

As I'm in the mall, listening to the classic Christmas carols playing in the background that talk about giving, magic and wonder, I find myself being pushed around by hostile mothers and grumpy old men (pardon the pun) whose one mission is to acquire the best present and the prime spot in line, even if that means transforming into the Grinch in the process.

But even if Christmas can bring out the worst in people, I can't help but love it anyways.

Merry Christmas!
